Hi! Welcome to our blog about all things tasty. Chicken rice, garlic fries, soft tacos and ravioli with hot sauce, it’ll be here. Created by two people who are usually hungry all the time, Purple Elephant is the place to be for all foods Bay Area. Our mission is to bring you the latest news and reviews on great eats in Silicon Valley and of course, to eat all the awesome food we can. Starting in the city of San Jose and spreading all over the bay, we’re here to eat and critique. It’s one thing to read reviews in the newspapers, but it’s another to hear it from “the regulars” who just want good food and fun times. We’re always on the look out for amazing food and there is nothing we won’t try. Bring out those Mojito tasting, sparkling lemonade drinks and look for us to roll by and order half the menu. Most of the time we won’t tell you who we are so please remember the names Alvin and Alina. A spunky, funky all around awesome girl with a passion for food and a walking dichotomy. Craving exciting and delicious food with an fervor as strong as a rock, yet possessing a stomach as frail as soufflé. A Bay Area native, she serves as the team’s chief guide and navigator and all round smart-ass know it all. A small girl with a sweet tooth the size of a semi you’ll usually find her prancing down the dessert with her head buried in a cake and a nice ice cold Thai Tea.
Alvin
Before you can finish the sentence “Lets go eat at…” Alvin will usually answer “Alright! Lets do it!” and run towards the door. Food is definately one of the top loves of his life. For someone who is energetic 20 hours of the day, asking him to try new foods and restaurants will only feed the flame. He’s travelled and lived around the world, eaten many delicious and some not so great foods. Now he’s decided that the Bay Area must be searched for all of the diverse delicacies it has to offer. So remember to always prepare an iced tea on the side because it’ll be the first thing he orders.
